Defending Probation Violations

Defending Probation Violations

Facts - The range of punishment on these cases depends on probation.

If you violated deferred adjudication probation, you are exposed to the full range of punishment from the original offense.

If you pled to "straight" probation, your jail exposure will be limited to the time that was probated as part of the original probation

The key to a good defense-

  1. Call Kimberly Tucker to schedule a consultation. When you come in, be sure to bring your original plea paperwork and a copy of the probation violation.
  2. write a statement of what happened (the allegations made by your probation officer of what you did or did not do that has caused this violation) and your explanation / response to each of the allegations.
