Special Probation Classes or Conditions
In Collin County
Urinalysis test - $40, collected by Collin County CSCD, to detect up to 6 illicit drugs, including alcohol
SAE (drug/alcohol evaluation) - Cost varies; a professional substance abuse evaluation that is performed by local agencies.
DWI Victim Impact Panel - $25, provided by Collin County CSCD in conjunction with the local chapter of MADD, 2 hours in length, this is a panel of victims discussing and providing pictures of their family member/s who were kill or injured by a person driving under the influence of alcohol.
DWI Safety Education Program - $65, also performed by local agencies; this class is 12 hours in length; the goal is to increase knowledge of drug/alcohol usage as it relates to driving skills.This is State mandated for all first DWIs
DWI Repeat Offender's Program - $182, Provided by Collin County CSCD; this class is 32 hours and is designed to intervene in abuse life style and encourage entry into treatment when indicated. This class is State mandated for second DWIs or more
Drug Offender's Education Program - $80, provided by Collin County CSCD, it is 18 hours in length and designed to educate drug offenders on the dangers of drug abuse and its associated illegal activities. State mandated for all Poss. of CS or Marijuana convictions.
Psychological evaluation - $20 - $150, local agencies
Crossroads Lifeskills - $25 - 16 sessions in a group format and is offered by Collin County CSCD; this class deals with relations, finances, values, attitudes and personalities.
Anger Management - Cost is on a sliding scale, local agencies provide; this class is usually recommended for any assault or violence-related offenses.
Life Skills - $40 - $70, local agencies provide, one all day workshop, this is another educational program to assist individuals with the process of behavior change but unlike Life Issues it is geared toward low risk offenders and misdemeanor cases.
Evaluation for sexual deviancy - $200, local sex offender counselors provide this; it is an assessment to determine if the probationer poses any risk currently or in the future, to the community; it is generally recommended on public lewdness and indecent exposure cases.
GED preparation classes - No cost. The prep and review is offered by the Collin County CSCD. $50 - $60 to take the GED test, offered by the local school districts.
Corrective Thinking - $80 - 16 hour course provided by Collin County CSCD.
Anti-Theft - $50 Provided by a local agency.
Batters Intervention and Prevention Program - $25 per session/27 sessions, Provided by local agencies.
